"Hello Tokyo" is a rebrand concept we produced for the city of Tokyo.  Its focus is to revitalise the cities status, post pandemic and post Olympics.
And here are the some of the results!

THE DESIGN BRIEF FOR THE REBRANDING THE CITY OF TOKYO WAS TO ENTICE NEW VISITORS AND GROW BUSINESS!

Hello Tokyo delivers a refreshing blend of happy greeting and celebration to those who interact with it.  Its message is directed toward key audiences to celebrate the unique qualities the city has to offer.  Its goal is to engage new business and welcome greater tourism.

The Style!

WE CREATED A LIVELY DESIGN USING MODERN STYLING AND VIBRANT GRAPHICS!

The modern vibe of the graphics we introduced brought a fun youthful feel to the branding which could be applied to many surfaces from vehicle wraps to stylish environmental elements.  This enabled the branding to be playfully integrated into as many unique areas of the city as possible.  The brand message could then be delivered a vast array of audiences.  Its visual and engaging presence allows for interesting and sharable content online to a global audience.

APPLICATION TO A CLOTHING LINE

Such is the style of the rebrand that the logo and artworks could be extended to a effective fashion line.  Fans effectively then promote the city through the purchase of clothing items and who then continue to deliver the message to the world. Just as other city branding has become iconic and memorable including the New York City's "I Love NYC" campaign, Hello Tokyo aim replicates this phenomenon using a similar and catchy message.  Its branding then becomes a powerful fashion icon in itself.

Its visual, energetic presence applied to many elements around the city generates opportunies for interesting content to be shared on social media, delivering its powerful brand message to the world!

Tokyo is a diverse, multifaceted and constantly evolving metropolis!
For this reason, the branding was designed to allow for vibrant alternate versions of its logo to be highlighted in various ways, all whilst maintaining the key elements of its energy, colours and flow.  The brand consistently directs it vibrant messaging to its intended audience.

Captivating audiences within various environments.  The design is fluid in order to suit the multifaceted nature of Tokyo!

Components from these alternate versions can also be disassembled and applied as background graphical elements as a way to also compliment the primary logo and it’s objective of promoting the energetic fun nature that Tokyo is known for.

Grafrix continued the branding into a full feature printed "Hello Tokyo" city guide.  The guide featured sites to further promote the city to all tourists.  Its lively design engaged the audience to fully experience what Tokyo has on offer.  Hello Tokyo truly provided a new edge to the promotion of the city.
